Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor on WPDE-TV which was located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She then worked as a morning reporter and anchor for WCBD TV. O'Dell's reports in Charleston regarding the police's tolerance regarding DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division to examine. It led to the state government imposing more stringent guidelines in these cases. The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell by awarding her the Best Report of the Years award in the entirety of South Carolina Media. After her time in Charleston O'Dell was a anchor and investigative reporter at the NBC Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to her move to Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor and a weekday reporter. She also works as an anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She co-hosted several of pre-shows and arrivals shows to The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards.
