Elizabeth Andrea Bitsie Tulloch (born January 19 1981) was an American actor. She is famous for her roles as Lois Lane and Juliette Silverton/Eve, in The CWArrowverse television shows such as Superman & Lois. Tulloch, who was born in San Diego California, grew up living in Spain Uruguay Argentina. Tulloch goes by Bitsie which is not a contraction of her given name Elizabeth but a homage to her grandfather who was a bizarrely named World War II bomber pilot who also was involved in the tragic 1961 Goldsboro B52 plane crash. When Tulloch began her acting career, her role, she was initially credited as Bitsie and continued to be until 2017 when she decided to switch her name to Elizabeth rather than explaining that I continue to go by Bitsie. When I see people, I continue to refer to myself by the name of Bitsie. When I was in my 20s I just began acting, and it did work. In my 30s, and I feel like for billing purposes I was tempted to return to Elizabeth. Actually, it wasn't an idea I'd ever thought of. And the producer was like Hey we saw it was Elizabeth as we filled in your legal documents. What are your thoughts on this method of billing? Then I started thinking about it. Then I called my manager, and they both said it was a good idea. Your age has changed. And Bitsie is evidently a kind of cute name. Its cutesy. Really, it was this. Elizabeth isn't my name now. Its just for billing in the future. Tulloch has both Scottish as well as Spanish family heritage. Tulloch claims she is of Scottish and Spanish ancestry. Spanish was her first native language, but she is not proficient in Spanish. The family of her paternal grandmother is of Renfrewshire and her family of grandparents originated from the area around Kirkwall both in Scotland. In an interview for BBC News, she stated that they believe that the Tullochs came to the US in 1880. They and the Kerrs did so in the middle century. She attended middle school and highschool in Bedford, New York after returning to the U.S. Tulloch was awarded a magnacum laude diploma in Harvard University in English and American Literature and a Double Major in Visual and Environmental Studies.
