She auditioned for the role of a young Beatrix who plays the main character in the 2006 biographical comedy about a family called Miss Potter. Lucy got the role the film after a series of workshops and auditions. This marked the beginning of her acting career. In 2007 she was selected for one of the Young Artist Award nominee for the best Performance in Feature Film by a Young Supporting Actress. Lucy was Posy, a ballerina who was one of the main characters in Ballet Shoes. It's fascinating to note that Lucy was used as the body double in each ballet sequence. Lucy played Margaret Dashwood on the BBC drama Sense and Sensibility the year following. Boynton made her TV debut in the year 2010 playing Henrietta Norton. Stella Maeve, an American actress best known for portraying Julia Wicker on the television series The Magicians in a brilliant performance, is a Native American. Maeve hails from New York. She is part Blackfoot as well as a part Cherokee. She made her screen debut in 2005's short film Liminality . Transamerica, a critically acclaimed film comedy-drama that was released in the same year was her debut on big screen. 2004 was the year she also made her TV debut as a part of the four-season Law & Order Criminal Intent episode. Nadia Decotis joined Dick Wolf's Chicago franchise in 2014. Chicago P.D. in 2014. . She played the character from 2011 to 2015, and then reprised it on Law & Order Special Victims Unit which is another TV series by Wolf. That following year, she was acting as Julia Wicker the lead female in the Syfy's fantasy show The Magicians. As Stella Maeve found a solid footing as a TV actress she continued to appear in indie movies. Starlet (2012), a dramatized film she starred in, and was awarded in the Film Independent Spirit Awards 2013, the Robert Altman Awards.
