Barone appeared as Gail Cunningham (a chef) in The Shoes of Seinfeld, the season 4 episode. Barone was looking for Elaine Benes' shoes. The early 1990s saw her was a regular cast member on Carol & Company with actress Carol Burnett. Barone had played the role of the husband of Carol Willick Ross Geller in Friends her first appearance. Jane Sibbett was her replacement after Barone left Friends for a job that required more time. She was on The Jeff Foxworthy Show from 1995 to 1996 and The War at Home 2005-2007. Barone was co-starring alongside Daddio in the year 2000. Barone's role as a regular in the Disney Channel show Shake It Up began in 2010, three years after The War at Home finished it's running. Barone played the role of Officer Georgia Jones, the mother of Bella Thorne's CeCe Jones. Matthew Glave, Barone's actor husband was a guest on the show for two seasons. Shake It Up in the role in the role of J.J. Jones.
